As I walk by our shadows collide A repressed hurricane of emotions that ripple across concrete The asphalt a silence that grows with every step They say to never look back and keep moving forward But sometimes I wonder Late at night when the stars are clouded in the sky And my thoughts turn in the stiff stillness If one glance would have made a difference (would we have seen the pain in each other's eyes?)
